Thoughtless Thursday: Craft Show Edition

Last Friday (July 4th) I did my first craft show, something I've been aspiring towards. For my first time out I think it went pretty well, especially because it wasn't a true craft show. It was just vendor row at a Peach Festival where people were not necessarily going in order to shop. There's a pre-Christmas craft show, just for crafts black friday weekend and I'm hoping to do that one too.

I sold my Boston Terrier (Olivia) dolls and their clothes as well as my jewelry I make. My mom made some housewares like fabric coasters and microwaveable potholder bowls. Our friend Pat made purses and brought along some collectible cookie tins she wanted to part with.

You can find the items that I sold on my Etsy.

Olivia even made an appearance to debut her look-a-likes

inside the booth. we hung the dolls from the tent so people could
see them better.

Wordless Wednesday: An army of Gremlins

Some of you will remember that last fall I started an attempt at making a plush doll to look like Olivia. I finally did it! I'm super proud of how they turned out. I created them from start to finish. Everything from making the pattern to sewing to stuffing them.

Check my Etsy to see the listing for the dolls as well as the jewelry I make!

Here's my army of gremlins!

"Uh Mom? Why are they all looking at me?"

Boston Terriers Are a Girl's Best Friend

So by now I Think it's clear that I love Etsy, and I especially love using Etsy to buy awesome Boston Terrier stuff!

I just received the new t-shirt I ordered, and it's super cute :) It says "Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend never owned a Boston Terrier" So true! I'd rather have a Boston Terrier than diamonds any day! I chose to buy it in pink but it seems to come in a lot of great colors.

Update from the Weekend

This weekend was a busy one! We attended the second meet-up of the Columbia South Carolina Boston Terrier Club. It was in the 40's (temperature) so a bit chilly and I think that's what affected the turn-out. Olivia was one of six Bostons in attendance. Other local people brought their non-Boston terrier dogs. Olivia wore her red barn coat this time out which made it a lot easier to tell which of the black and white dogs was mine haha.

On Saturday I received the new Boston Terrier hairbow that I'd ordered off Etsy. The price was right and it was cute, and I sort of have an Etsy addiction- especially for buying Boston Terrier items.

Sunday we went to a local horse show, Olivia showed off her new Minnie Mouse bandana and her new Minnie mouse leash. She loves going and watching the horses, and the activity. Plus, we met up with my riding instructor and her three dogs, who are Olivia's best friends.

And then, of course, there is Olivia's new best friend "Woody" a hunk of wood she found in my yard and is now obsessed with. She even tries to bring Woody in the house and miraculously always remembers where she left Olivia on the lawn. Olivia is really good about finding more... natural... toys.

Thoughtless Thursday: My Olivia Signature Stamp

I found a store on Etsy that makes custom paw-print stamps with your pet's name on it. She makes dog paws as well as cat paws. I had to buy it! I sign Olivia's name on lots of things, mostly greeting cards, and thought it was adorable! My stamp came out really great. If you want one too, you can find them here. They're also a really reasonable price.

An Olivia Bracelet

If you look back a few posts you will find the one where I was excited about making a clay bead that was a Boston Terrier face. I've since made a whole lot more and I turned one of them into this bracelet! I bought the other beads at Hobby Lobby and strung them all together on a stretchy cord. Hopefully this with be one of the items available on my future Etsy store! Everyone should watch out for that post when I finally have an inventory and open up shop :) I'm hoping to maybe even be able to donate some of the earnings I make in my Etsy store to a Boston Terrier rescue.

I'm A Boston!

I found this really cute shirt for Olivia on Etsy in the Clevotine shop. I love their stuff, it's all Boston Terrier related and now their even making stuff for dogs too! I have their pink v-neck and I wear it all the time (including when I picked Olivia out of her litter-mate and as well as when we picked her up two weeks later) and now Olivia has her own Clevotine shirt! It says "I'm a Boston Terrier, Not a French Bull Dog" on it which is really quite appropriate because I get asked that question all the time. "Is she... a... a... French... uh..." "She's a Boston" "Oh. Right." I'm really glad the people at Clevotine wrote that the dog shirts run small, I ended up getting Olivia a large and it fits perfect :)
